Goodbye John Styrk
1973-2006

We have received news of the passing or John M. Styrk Jr., comic book artist, friend of the store, and a regular at Friday night Comic Talk. John was the artist for the local small-press publisher Boomtown Press, with ambitions to work for the large national publishers. His cartoon cell artwork is displayed prominently near the store entrance.

John died in a car accident very early Saturday morning on his way home from a late Friday night Comic Talk session. He died instantly and did not suffer.

John will be greatly missed by store staff and customers, and especially by the Comic Talk group.
